About these tools

These questionnaires are clinically validated screening tools. They are not diagnostic instruments. They measure symptom severity and help identify when a professional evaluation is warranted.

PHQ-9 — Patient Health Questionnaire

Developed by Kroenke, Spitzer, and Williams (2001). Validated across primary care and specialty settings. At a cutoff of 10 or above it shows strong sensitivity and specificity for major depressive disorder.
